Timeless Philmont

In 2006, after making the donation that started Philmont's video department, David produced a DVD that included segments on all 36 of Philmont's backcountry camps, as well as 3 special features.  This DVD was sold for two years in the Philmont trading post, and has not been available since 2008. This newly-edited version includes additonal content that has never been seen before.

David E. Carter

"Timeless Philmont" is one of over 40 short films that David produced for Philmont in 2006-2008. This is the opening segment of the newly-edited DVD.

In 1960 David Carter was a Ranger at Philmont Scout Ranch, the national Boy Scout high adventure camp in Cimarron, NM. Philmont is 210 square miles of Rocky Mountain majesty, and David’s experience there was life changing.

Now an Emmy-winning film producer, David returned to Philmont for eight years (2001-2008) and produced more than 40 films at the ranch. He produced the very first Philmont staff recruitment video, and made the donation that started Philmont’s video department.
